NCS Pledge Drive
Next Century of Serving is the name of the facilities improvement project currently underway at Lombard CRC. Presented to the congregation by the leadership of the church, this facilities project was the product of a leadership retreat and brainstorming sessions in the Fall of 2010.
The project has 5 phases which, when complete, will re-align the property and resources of Lombard CRC to be more community focused. In this way we can be true to our vision which states:
"Together we seek to know, love and worship God with all of our hearts, and to impact our surrounding community with acts of service."
The project phases and costs were approved at an April 2011 congregational meeting, and we are now in the pledge and fundraising phase of the project. This page will be an ongoing resource for members and friends of Lombard CRC to track the progress of the project as well as make pledges for financial support on line.
The project phases will be concluded by September 2012 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our congregation. The project phases include:
- The sale of a piece of church property
- The demolition of a house on the church property
- The construction of a modern digital sign to improve our communication with the community
- Landscaping and green space development on the South side of the church
- Interior design upgrades to our sanctuary and narthex to improve our worship capabilities
