Updated 7/8:

Guidelines for use of the Lombard CRC building

The elders have approved the use of the church building with the following guidelines, which are based on CDC and IDPH (IL Dept. of Public Health) guidelines and with the intention of acting out of love for our neighbors and being faithful to everyone in our congregation and community.

  1. Groups of 50 or less may use the building. In smaller rooms the number should not exceed 25% of capacity.
  2. Social distancing must be maintained. Please refrain from shaking hands, hugging and other physical contact.
  3. Masks must be worn in the building.
  4. Hand sanitizer will be available and its use is encouraged.
  5. The kitchen will be closed and will be considered off-limits.
  6. Singing is considered a very high-risk activity and should be avoided.
  7. Nursery/child care should be avoided.
  8. Groups should keep a list of the people attending their group in case contact tracing becomes necessary.

Please contact Sara in the Office to reserve a time and room for your group.

Guidelines may change at any time based on current developments and current CDC and IDPH guidelines.

Update 11:00 am 3/18:

Lombard CRC, our elders met last night via Skype to pray for church, country, and world and to discern our church worship, fellowship, and ministry plans going forward. Please read what follows, and if you know of someone who is not able to receive email or see Facebook or use our website, please let them know the following:

  1. All church activities and use of church building canceled through April 11. God willing, we plan to meet for the first time again on Easter Sunday, April 12.
  2. Worship services will be streamed and information about those services will be communicated to the congregation.  We are developing ways for the congregation to participate in the streamed services.  Life groups are encouraged to keep in contact with group members for prayer needs and other help.
  3. Eblast, Facebook, and the Lombard CRC website will be our primary method for general communication to the congregation.
  4. We encourage you to continue to support the church with your prayers and financial gifts. You can mail these to the church or use the online giving app Givelify. Information is on the website under Giving. If you know of any financial or material needs please communicate with your deacon.
  5. Pastor and staff will maintain modified church hours to help with any emergencies and communicate with elders and deacons as needed.
