Day 2 started with a leaders meeting at 7:00 AM.  Breakfast followed at 8.  Everyone seemed well rested, so going to bed early seems to have really paid off.  After breakfast we gathered around the vans to have a short morning devotion before loading up and heading out for the day.

Today was our free day, so we elected to drive up to the top of Pike's Peak.  The drive up took about an hour as we slowly made our way up the switchback roads.  Once we arrived at the top, we had some time to explore, take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking views.  

After spending some time on Pike's Peak we made our way to the Garden of the Gods, where we enjoyed a leisurely hike and spent some more time exploring the great rock formations. 

When we returned to camp we had a short time to unwind before dinner was served.  After dinner they brought in a square dance caller and he was the featured entertainment  for the evening.  Predictably only a few in our group participated, but those that did seem to have a great time.

We are about to wrap up the night with worship time at chapel and small groups.  Tonight we will split up guys and girls for the small group time to encourage more openness and sharing. Not sure what time everyone will decide to go to sleep tonight. We'll see if we get as much rest as yesterday.
